Anush S.Pillai, DO, FAAFP is one of the core faculty for the residency program.He also serves as Vice Chair for
the Department of Family Medicine at Methodist Hospital. Dr. Pillai did his medical school at the University of
North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. He did his Family Medicine
Residency at the University of Texas Houston Medical School at the Texas Medical Center – Hermann Hospital,
LBJ Hospital. He also served as chief resident for his residency program. Dr. Pillai has published several original
articles in peer reviewed journals and authored several book chapters. He also serves as a reviewer for several
peer reviewed journals such as “Journal of Women’s Health”, “Journal of Family Practice”,“Evidence Based
Journals Group”. Dr. Pillai serves as the Medical Advisor for the Harris County Head Start Program. Dr. Pillai
holds the academic rank of Clinical Assistant Professor at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. In
addition, he is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Houston,College of Optometry – where he
serves as course director and lecturer for the Upper level Medical Course. Dr. Pillai is a fellow of the American
Academy of Family Physicians. Outside of work, Dr. Pillai has numerous interests including sports,billiards, and
classical Indian music. He is truly a “student at heart” and enjoys learning. Dr. Pillai firmly believes that being a
physician is a privilege that our patients entrust us with. Dr. Pillai is married to his better half Priya, and has two
young children.

Tiffani Sealock, MD Core Faculty

Tiffani Sealock, MD is one of the core faculty of the Methodist Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr.
Sealock received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University. She then moved to Houston where she
received her medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center College of Medicine. Dr.
Sealock completed her residency training in family medicine at The Methodist Hospital Family medicine
Residency program. She then stayed on as a faculty physician with the program.
Dr. Sealock is a member of The American Academy of Family Physicians and the Society of Teachers of Family
Medicine. She recently contributed a chapter to the book “Case Files: Family Medicine.”
Outside of work, Dr. Sealock enjoys traveling with her husband, trying new cuisines, and spending time with
family and friends.
Isabelle Chughtai-HarveyMD Core Faculty

Dr. Isabelle Chughtai-Harvey is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician and core faculty member of the
Methodist Hospital Family Medicine Program. After growing up in Buffalo, N.Y. and San Diego, C.A. she
completed her BA in English at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo Honors program in 2000.
studies at the SUNY Buffalo School of Public Health, she entered SUNY Buffalo’s Family Medicine Residency
Program graduating in 2008. Since finishing residency, Dr. Harvey practiced rural general medicine in Balclutha,
New Zealand at the Balclutha General Practitioners Ltd, affiliated with the University of Otago School of
Medicine. Afterwards, she practiced family medicine with the U.C. Davis Medical Group in Sacramento, CA.
Dr. Harvey joined the Methodist Family Medicine Program at the Denver Harbor clinic in 2010 and is thrilled
about the opportunities Houston offers its medical community. Her professional interests include medical
education, and public health with particular focus on Women’s health and healthcare access in underserved
populations. Her passions outside of medicine include traveling, listening to music, and spending time with family

Clara Rosenzweig, MEd,LPC Core Faculty

Clara Rosenzweig, M.Ed.,LPC serves as behavioral faculty for the residency program. Mrs.Rosenzweig
completed her undergraduate studies in clinical psychology at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City,
received a master of education in counseling from the University of Houston, and is a Licensed Professional
Counselor in the State of Texas. In addition to her direct support to the residency program, Mrs.Rosenzweig
maintains an active clinical practice at the Denver Harbor Clinic where she provides individual, couples’, family
and group psychotherapy.
Mrs. Rosenzweig has an integrative approach to therapy drawing primarily from client centered, cognitive
certified anger resolution therapist. Mrs. Rosenzweig has been a guest lecturer at University of Houston in the
areas of trauma,cross-cultural counseling and family therapy and currently leads an experimental training group
in group therapy process for masters level counseling students.
Outside of work Mrs. Rosenzweig enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children, enjoys music, dining
out, and is an active founding member of her Synagogue. Mrs. Rosenzweig firmly believes that the keystone to
helping the patient lies not simply in our ability to tune in and listen, but rather in our skill at communicating
what we have heard.

Scott Rand, MD Core Faculty

Dr. Scott Rand was born and raised in a small town in South Dakota. He completed his degree from the
University of South Dakota, School of Medicine in 1989. Dr. Rand finished his residency in Family Medicine
with the US Navy in Pensacola Florida and spent 3 years at the US Naval Hospital in Keflavik Iceland. After
returning to the United States he entered into private practice in Vermillion, SD, where he served as a team Dr.
Rand came to Texas in 2000 to begin teaching in a residency program in Conroe, Texas where he rapidly
became involved with area high school athletes and local school districts. Today, he serves as a Medical Advisor
for the AED program for Klein, Spring and Tomball school districts and acts as a consulting team physician for
15 area high schools. He also serves as the local team physician for the USA Women’s Gymnastics Team. For
the past four years, he has directed a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship and trained many other family
physicians to care for athletes.
Dr. Rand is Board Certified in Sports Medicine and also co-chairs a national committee on sports medicine
education evaluation through the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. Dr. Rand frequently lectures to
area school nurses and club coaches on safety and injury evaluation. He has published articles on sports
medicine topics in American Family Physician, Current Sports Medicine Reports and Family Practice
Management and The Journal of Family Practice.
On a personal note, Dr. Rand and his wife, Carrie, have been married for 26 years and have 2 grown children.
He stays fit with distance running and has completed two Houston Marathons and numerous shorter races.
